About NIPoRe Coffee Sessions

NIPoRe Coffee Sessions are semi-formal and interactive in-house discussion sessions designed to bring together senior policymakers across the globe to discuss crucial policy issues from Nepal. The aim is to bridge the gap between research, policy-making, and practice, encourage young minds to engage in various aspects of public policy-making, and foster in-depth dialogues on high-priority policy areas. The participants are NIPoRe’s friends and staff, a group of young researchers and students keen to understand how policies are made in Nepal. For each session, we invite a guest speaker, a prominent policymaker, who speaks on an agreed-upon topic for about 15 minutes. The rest of the session then evolves into an open discussion forum (limited by the general theme of the session), moderated by a NIPoRe staff. Participation is invite-only.
