Samjhana works as a Research Assistant at NIPoRe under the Centre for Governance Studies. She has researched on topics related to governance and development, economics, disaster, women and gender studies, conflict studies, international relations, and project management.
Prior to NIPoRe, she worked as a Research Intern at Samridhi Foundation. At the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), she served as a Publication and Expo Management Assistant, and also worked as an Associate Coordinator in 1000 Mahila Udhyami Bhela. She is a lifetime member of the Aarambha Foundation. She has also served as a Club Secretary of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Metro for Rota Year 2019/20. She has been working as a Program Associate at Enterprise for Management, Economic Reform, and Gender Equality Pvt. Ltd.
She pursued Development Studies as part of her undergraduate education at the National College affiliated with Kathmandu University (KU). She is getting her graduate degree in Crisis Management from the Institute of Crisis Management, Samarpan Academy (ICMS), affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). She did her schooling from Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya, Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
