
BINITA Nepali
Binita works as a Program and Research Officer at NIPoRe under the Centre for Strategic Affairs (CSA). Currently, she is involved in Nepal Risk Outlook, one of NIPoRe’s flagship initiatives and the institute’s collaborative effort with the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) that analyses major policy risks from Nepal and South Asia, as a Research Officer where she supports the project lead in conceptualising ideas, developing methodologies, and finalising reports.
Before joining NIPoRe, she worked as a Communication Officer for Aniko Sansar ko Sathi, an NGO that helps underprivileged and needy children. She also served as a Correspondent for China Xinhua News, where she was in charge of covering significant contemporary events (political, cultural, and policy changes) in Nepal. She has three years of professional experience as a radio program presenter.
She holds an M.A degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from DIRD, Tribhuvan University where she was a recipient of a full scholarship from Professor Gary Lit of the National University of Singapore. She also has an M.A degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. She was born and schooled in Baglung, Gandaki Province, Nepal.
