
ANUSHA Basnet
Anusha works as a Research Assistant at NIPoRe under the Centre for New Economy and Inequality (CNEI). At NIPoRe, she is involved in research and analytics works related to economic policy with special focus on labor economics and human development. She has contributed to NIPoRe initiatives including Nepal Competitiveness Index (NCI) and Nepal Risk Outlook (NRO).
Prior to working at NIPoRe, she worked as a Research Intern at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). She has worked as research assistant for the project titled ‘Infrastructure Diplomacy’ which was a collaboration between Policy Research Inc. and Society of Economic Journalists- Nepal. She also has prior experience of working as a Peer Facilitator.
She has a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship Award and the Sabrin Center Sabrin Center for Free Enterprise Scholarship Award.
