
ANKUR Shrestha
Ankur is an economic policy and communications enthusiast. At NIPoRe, he works under the Centre for New Economy and Inequality (CNEI). He is the focal person and the research officer for the Nepal Competitiveness Index (NCI), one of NIPoRe’s flagship initiatives and the institute’s collaborative effort with the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Additionally, he continues to contribute to other efforts of NIPoRe such as the Nepal Risk Outlook (NRO), policy briefs, policy compendium, blogs, and other knowledge products.
He was previously involved as a Communication Officer with Ujyalo Foundation and still volunteers at Sangat Nepal, a feminist network. He has over three years of experience in research and communications in areas pertaining to economic development, youth empowerment, feminism, knowledge management, research, and policy advocacy focused mainly on Nepal and its neighbors.
He has an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He also received a fellowship in International Relations from the Institute of South Asian Studies at Sichuan University, China.
