Kaushal Sapkota is a nonprofit management consultant with a keen interest in impact assessment, innovative fundraising, nonprofit branding, and storytelling. He graduated with a Master of Nonprofit Management from the School of Planning, Public Policy, and Management at the University of Oregon, USA. A Nu Lambda Mu Scholar (Nonprofit Academic Accreditation Council), Kaushal is also an education enthusiast, interested in equity, diversity and inclusion in education, “community as a curriculum” (connecting communities and curriculum together), service learning and access to education.
Sapkota is an avid traveler and a photographer by passion. Steve McCurry and Sebastiao Salgado’s works inspire his interest in documentary and travel photography. Through collaboration with cafeterias and his exhibition series – Yatri; Kaushal raised funds for different philanthropic initiatives, including Nyano Sansar’s post-earthquake winter drive and Make Me See’s initiative of funding cataract surgeries at Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital in Lahan.
Kaushal is based in Europe and is studying Master of Research and Innovation in Higher Education as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. He is also involved with King’s College (Nepal) as MBA Nonprofit Program Director, International Liaison and Impact Assessment Lead.
